BABY SITTERS
AI Analysis and Ratings to Come
Baby Sitters was a short I originally wrote many, many years ago. It was a Texas Film Institute winner, a Cinestory finalist, and a top 3 American Zoetrope (the web site, not the contest) selection.
I wasn't satisfied with it. I decided it was worth a revision. I'm still not satisfied, but it's considerably improved. It's a piece of fluff, but it's a good piece of fluff...and it shows off some of my strengths (and maybe my weaknesses, but we won't talk about that).
Baby Sitters
Genre: Comedy/Crime
Logline: A brilliant 10-year-old left home alone has to outsmart two bungling criminals hiding in her house after a jewelry heist—before her mother gets home.
Tone: Baby Sitters blends the tight comedic construction of Home Alone, the escalating criminal incompetence of Fargo, and the social irony and control dynamics of Parasite.
